GASP Annual Report 2019

The first meeting of the Gloucestershire Anti-Slavery Partnership took place on April 13th 2016. A commitment was made to take this agenda forward in the county, including some proactive multi-agency visits to premises where we suspect human trafficking and/or modern slavery is present.

Achievements
  • Bringing together local authorities, the police, NGOs and other organisations, in a concerted effort to tackle trafficking and slavery across Gloucestershire.
  • Coordinated the training of close to 500 people in Gloucestershire – a Task Group is now working on a long term training strategy. 
  • Led a number of media campaigns to raise awareness within the county
  • Establishment of an Emergency Reception Centre for Victims of Modern Slavery in Gloucestershire.
  • Development of an intelligence collection plan with the input of GASP members.
