Annual event 2018

The South West Anti-Slavery Partnership will be hosting its annual event on Wednesday 21st November 2018.

The event will provide an opportunity for representatives to expand their knowledge of how Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking is operating currently in the South West, and how the Anti-Slavery Partnership is working to combat it.

The day will be composed of a series of key note speakers and tailored interactive workshops, alongside the opportunity to talk directly with professionals working in the sector.

There will be representatives from regional policing teams, various enforcement agencies, business professionals, frontline professionals, local government, non-governmental, and faith communities.

The day aims to bring together existing and new potential partners to achieve the following –

  • Learning from representatives to understand blocks and inhibitors to tackling Modern Slavery in their sector;
  • Learning from representatives to understand potential avenues to tackling Modern Slavery in their sector;
  • Increased awareness of Modern Slavery for representatives from new sectors; and
  • Equipping of representatives to disseminate new knowledge to their sectors.
